What started as a commitment to creating opportunities for Black women artists has grown into a nonprofit cultural arts organization dedicated to preserving the spaces where Black creativity has always flourished.
Through immersive performances, storytelling, public recognition, and cultural programming, we honor the people, places, and traditions that continue to shape our collective story.
Today, Book Black Women serves as a creative home for artists, audiences, partners, and communities seeking meaningful cultural experiences that inspire, educate, and connect.

Ayana Washington founded Book Black Women on the conviction that Black artists, and Black women artists in particular, deserve stages built with intention.
